About
When TRVE Brewing Co began distributing their beer in Fort Collins, our Prospect location became its first account. A bond between punk and metal was made. In 2019, an opportunity to expand MCHC into the TRVE taproom appeared, and we went for it. We had all intentions to open in the spring of 2020 until the pandemic hit. Our opening was delayed until August, 2021. Owners Jordan and Sam alternated weeks in Denver until passing the reins to long-time employee and Denver’s new General Manager, Steven Skinner.
In July, 2025, TRVE Brewing Co shuttered and closed all operations. TRVE Brewing Co was dissolved. MCHC had to make some hard decisions. Steven Skinner became a strong advocate for expansion, joined Jordan and Sam as co-owner, and ultimately took over the lease and bar operations in March, 2026. An agreement was made with New Image Brewing, allowing TRVE’s brand and beer to live on.
Today, MCHC carries on a shadow of TRVE’s legacy by offering many of the original TRVE beers on draft and packaged beer to-go. Although some small changes have been made to the space, the same dark, loud, and metal infusions remain.
